The application of new information technologies to the environment of distance education, in terms of social research, implies certain methodological complexities. The special relationships between the researcher and the subjects of study, together with the ones established among teachers, pupils and distance education managers, drive to redesign the methodological plannings. The sociological studies on distance education entail two difficulties: in one hand, subjects who are very distant geographically and on the other hand, the evanescence of interpersonal relationships that are a main aspect in the non-face-to-face education.Downloads
